ALLAN!!!!!!!!!

So here's this funny story. Well, it's kind of funny, I thought it was. :) I start writing my blog posts out in my head, and my first line was going to be "Funny title for a post right?" And then the sentence got mixed up in my head (don't blame me too much, I am Caroline, after all :P) and came out as "Funny tist for a potle, right?"

I do make myself laugh sometimes. :) That wasn't supposed to sound like bragging, but hey, it's not healthy to take yourself seriously. So laugh at yourself, or laugh at me. It's quite good medicine actually =D

Anyways! Got sidetracked again. So yeah, that's a funny tist for a potle. Now where were we? Oh, right!

ALLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite literally the best character in BBC Robin Hood anndddd one of my all-time favorites. That's right, he gets a very honored spot in Caroline's Character Hall of Fame! (Hey...that's actually a good idea)

So for the post hour or what I've been reading a RH blog and watching videos from season three. Are there better ways to spend my time? Yes. I admit it, so don't go all balistic on me. :P Here is what I have to--no, what I must--say about season three:

IT STINKS.

I can imagine the show's writers and producers just sitting in their little room with pieces of paper, cackling evilly about axing killing off one of the show's biggest characters and then writing out of the show two of the other best characters. Oh, and while we're at it, we might as well kill off the BEST guest star RH has EVER had! Why don'tcha!

(that's only at the end of season two. End of season three is a train wreck. What, three or four of the most amazing characters killed? About that?)

Alright, I know, it's only a tv show. But more than a tv show...it's a story. A story that gets to my heart, because I love these characters. Robin and the gang feel like my family. I've known them for so long (only about a year, but it feels like a long time). It's like your favorite book or movie, or your favorite show. It's more than just that. It's something we can relate to and that inspires us, just like any other great story. That does make sense? Probably not. I'm not very eloquent.

Thankfully, and yes I mean thankfully, they aren't making a season four. I can only sigh in relief. After the complete mess they made of season three and its ending, it's definitely for the best.

(oh, and why did this particular character who shalt not be named in case you ever watch it which you really should cause it's amazing have to be killed? It couldn't have been Tuck who is honestly one of the worst characters I have ever come in contact with? *gags* Nopeee. It had to this guy.)

It's 8:20 and I still haven't eaten dinner, so I should be signing off. It feels good to get that out of my system. But before I go, here's what I posted on my Buzz tonight:

ALLANNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that pretty much sums it all up. That, and, the writers/producers of series three were morons. My feelings? Season three is NOT real Robin Hood. It doesn't deserve to be. That right goes to series one and two...can't be beat. Series three quite frankly ruined the show and ruined Allan and pretty much everyone, and Kate is....Kate is grr. That's all I'm gonna say. But series one and two? They bring back such good memories...Robin and Marian and Guy and the Sheriff and Much and Little John and Allan and Will and Djaq. Call me obsessed, I don't mind. :)
I've been looking at RH stuff like the past hour so I have to say: I ♥ Robin Hood...yes I'm a *cough* obsessed *cough* I mean devoted, Hoodie. :) (And Allan I love you too. Just sayin'.)
K I'm done now...I wish someone here loved RH as much as I do :) :) Abi? *grins hopefully*
Well, I know Molly loves RH as much as I do and was just as infuriated by the end of season two and horribleness of season three. We're both obsessed hoodies. :)

^ true, dat. =D

Cup o' tea, how's your mum?

Have y'all seen that Geico ad? Where the Geico dude and the Gecko are drinking tea? No? Well, it's awesome. :) Now, I shall treat you to some excerpts from my life and things that I've been thinking about lately, so do enjoy =D (because all you want to hear about is me, right? It's all about me. NOT...I was kidding. Sarcasm.) :)

1. Flu. I don't have it, and I really, really, really hope I don't get it. But it's going around my church at the moment, and tomorrow morning I have to work in the nursery with two and three year olds. As I told Shaynie, I plan to keep my bottle of vanilla scented hand sanitizer with me at all times. This morning Paige and my mom and I were going to go get the Flu shot, until my mom did some research online and discovered that the flu shot often doesn't protect against the flu. So we're not going to do it, and I plan instead on taking preventitive (sp?) measures against the flu. Observe:

Eat healthier. I'm not good at this, but eating more fruits and vegetables and drinking more liquid (I read that green tea is good) is one of the first steps to being healthy. It's actually probably the first step. Who knew? :P

Aerobic exercise. It's a bright, beautiful sunny day in the 60's, so soon I'm going to go take advantage of that and go on a nice long walk. And perhaps when I come back, I'll practice with my volleyball in the backyard.

Wash your hands. I already do this a lot, but this is one of the key ways to keep from getting sick. Also, cough and sneeze into the crook of your arm instead of your hand, so germs won't get all over your hands. And secondly, I mean thirdly, wipe down your

faucets and doorknobs with cleaning wipes so they're disinfected.

Drink lots of water and other liquids.

PRAY!

Check out this website for a list of what to do to prevent flu: http://www.ehow.com/how_3451_prevent-flu.html

2. Egypt. I'm sure you've heard what's going on there. Riots, protests, deaths, and the government dissolving? Normally I'm not into politics, but I guess that's when it concerns things like the Stock Market or the politicians or whatever. I find most of that boring. But this thing about Egypt scares me. Did you know that it's like the oldest country still around from the ancient times, from the very beginning? Persia is still here and Iraq is still here, but they've been renamed. Other civilisations like the Sumerians or the Assyrians have been wiped off the face of the earth. Egypt still stands. But with it's government like this, I wonder for how long...I don't mean to be a downer, but this is really serious stuff. Just watching the news makes you like, "Whoaaa..." and wonder about the outcome of the country (haha, sorry about the "whoa", it was the only way I knew how to describe it. And I call myself a writer). I really hope this thing with Egypt just a phase and that it passes.

warning: slight spoilers ahead for Merlin; Nahla, if you haven't finished season three yet, you might not want to read this. :) Molly, you too.

3. I'm gonna move on to a more light-hearted subject: THE SEASON THREE FINALE OF MERLIN. I saw it last night, yes I did. IT WAS GREATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omigosh omigosh omigosh they HAD THE KNIGHTS OF THE ROUNDTABLE!!!! ARTHUR AND GUINEVERE AND MERLIN AND LANCELOT AND GWAINE ( ♥) AND ELYAN AND PERCIVAL AND LEON!!!!!!!!!!! (+Gaius:) And then the Sword in the Stone!! I have been waiting for both of those things, for the show to actually resemble the ancient legends of Camelot and King Arthur, and last night, even though they took some liberties with it as they always do, it was the most truthful they have ever come to the old legends. It was magical :) I was squealing at the Roundtable and the Excalibur part--just ask Paige :)
l to r: Leon, Percival, Merlin, Arthur, Lancelot, Elyan, and Gwaine

But you know what's just not right? I have to wait until 2012 for season to come out. 2012! How will I survive until then?! As I remarked to Molly, the world can't end in 2012 because we have to see season four of Merlin.

4. I'm taking a Journalism and Economics class starting on Thursday (in addition to my physical science class which is also on Thursday). I'm really excited, cause I haven't been busy enough (isn't that the lament of all you people, that you're too busy? I wish I was) and a Journalism class is right up my alley. :) Plus, Katelyn is in it, which makes it all the better.:) I miss my classes. It's gonna be so nice (and busier:) to have them back.

5. It's a beautiful, sunny day in the 60's, meaning I should save this post for later tonight when it's dark out. We're going to a park in a couple of minutes (I'm gonna bring my volleyball:) so I'll continue this post later!

6. We went to the park and had a lovely time (including taking some pictures of Paige and I kissing Otis, our dog) and there was this big beach volleyball pit with a net, and I forgot my volleyball. Typical Caroline. :)

7. I made these for my characters in Enslaved the other day. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with this book--for those of you who don't know, Enslaved was my first novel, and it's been rewritten three times--but I want to do something. My ideas for it a new version all seem pretty floppy. It irks me, cause the characters are calling to me, but I don't have a plot. :(

Merien; the quote is one of hers

Will
The lyrics are from It's My Life/Confessions by Glee (I don't watch that show, but I like the song.)

Torene

There's a lyric in one of my absolute favorite songs, Viva la Vida by Coldplay, that says, "And I discovered that my castles stand upon pillars of sand". I don't know if I was trying to copy that or not, I don't think it was, but it turned out sounding like that.

Lo and behold, those are my graphic making skills. I get excited when I make things like that, even though they're pretty basic. I have Photoshop on my computer, but I have no clue how to use it. Guess I'm not a graphic designer :)

8. BOOKS. Ha! I just finished my second reading of The King of Attolia today, making that the third book I've finished in 2011...I'm not a very fast reader (the other two were A Conspiracy of Kings and Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters, which I got for Christmas). Now I'm going to start On The Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness (great title, no?:) and also waiting in my pile are Scarlet, Pegasus, and The Queen of Attolia and The Thief, both of which will be rereads. :) OH! I just realized (not for the first time) that I never finished reading the Benedict Society books. Those were really good. I need to go order them from the library. :)

9. Have you noticed that I've been using wayyy too many parentheses? (yes?)

10. A few nights ago I dreamed that The Patriot was actually a trilogy of three films, and I was the director of them *plus* the Percy Jackson movie. And we won Oscars. So, um, yeah. xD

______________________

Have a wonderful night, my adventurous friends!! Maybe we'll all dream that we win Oscars. :)

I love them

{be prepared for a really, really long post.}

You know you love them too. They make you laugh. They make you cry. They make your jaw drop at the twists in the story. They're feisty and they're unique and most importantly, they're real.

I won't ever, ever get out of how much I love characters. I like to think of them as my family. Now, don't judge--I bet you do the same thing! Whether they're your own characters or those in your favorite book or tv show, you love them like your own brothers and sisters.

I've got a huge taste of that last weekend. I slept over at my buddy Molly's (who is also like a sister to me ♥) and we did PB almost non-stop. These characters are at the moment undoubtedly my favorite group of characters, perhaps because I helped create them. :) They have quirks, they have fights, they have magical powers, and basically every episode something really bad happens, but it's alright. Everything will turn out in the end. :)

Phoenix Burning

Tiegan (Selena Gomez), Aeronwen (Bridget Mendler), Ciaran (bottom left, Joseph Kennedy), Aveari (top right, Skandar Keynes), Hadyn (b+w, Harry Lloyd), Erik (next to Tiegan, Bradley James), King Geraldo (top middle, Anthony Head), and Mr. Smid

BBC Robin Hood

This was my summer show. I actually started watching maybe sometime in February 2010, and saw the season two finale in August or so. After I'd been watching it for a while, I told Molly about it. The rest, as they say, is history. I think part of the reason I love this show so much was that I "was Djaq"--aka, she was my make-believe alias, all summer. And we have so many inside jokes from it, that just makes it more special. :) We've gotten so many of our favorite quotes from this show:
"I'm good with nuns" --Allan
"Don't tell me to shush, we're looking for a tree in a forest!!" --Much
"Earn your keep!" --Guy to Allan
"I can feel a song coming on!" "No! No song! Absolutely no song!" --Much and Robin
"SUSSEX! I have lost SUSSEX!" --The sheriff
"You could've had my eye out!" --Allan to Marian
"SLEEEPPPPPP" --Allan
(notice how many of these come from Allan? He's just that awesome.)

(self-proclaimed Hoodie xD)
If there's one thing the BBC can do, it's create incredible characters. (they can do a lot more than that, but characters are, as always, my favorite ♥)
However, I'm not including pictures from season three, because season three was atrocious, and it had Tuck and Kate in it, and Tuck is one of the worst characters I have EVER met. He's completely awful *blech*

Robin and Much

The gang

This is the best Robin Hood video I've ever seen. It's just beautiful. Even if you don't like/don't watch RH, watch it anyway :)

Larkrise to Candleford

The amazing thing about this show is that you feel like a part of these characters' lives. This is the one show my whole family (mom, dad, sister, grandmother, and me) watch together. If it's Friday night, one of us will say, "Larkrise?" and everybody else is just like, "YES!" I know I've said this countless times before, but I must repeat: these characters are so real. I warn you: if you start watching this show, you'll be hooked for all three seasons (and there's a season 4 coming out! Eep!)

Dorcas and Laura

Robert and Emma

Laura and Alf

Larkrise and Candleford (those are the names of the two places in the show--Larkrise is a small hamlet/village out in the countryside, and Candleford is the merchant town eight miles away. The show is about the different characters in each place and their interaction with one another.)

The Queen's Thief by Megan Whalen Turner

My goodness. This woman is a genius. Her books, set in a Byzantine-Greek world, are so political they'll make your head spin. Yet she creates characters who keep you guessing throughout the entire book. You'll be shocked by the endings of at least two of these books. You think you know what's going on, and then boom, something blows you away and it turns out that the characters had something completely different planned the entire time.

Gen, without a doubt, makes it onto my list of top-ten all time fictional heroes.
Who else is on that list, you ask? Well, since you asked so nicely... (this isn't in particular order)

Eugenides (aka Gen)
Allan a Dale
Ciaran de Reinwick
Merlin (tv show, Merlin)
Sophos (The Queen's Thief)
Percy Jackson (you know where)
Finn (books of Bayern)
Lee Colbert (The Book of Jane)
Sheftu (Mara, Daughter of the Nile)
I'm gonna go have to go with Merry from LoTR, though I do like Troy from HSM. Don't laugh, even though I know you will. :P

Anyways! You distracted me--shame on you. Let's continue, shall we?

There's only a handful of characters in this book--90% of the time it's just Gen, the magus, Pol, Sophos, and Ambiades.

This was my least favorite in the series, but I think I might like it better upon a second read, which I plan to do as soon as I finish rereading The King of Attolia. :) Sadly, Sophos isn't in this one, and he's awesome.

As I mentioned before, I'm reading this for a second time. This is the only one of the books that has Costis in it, which is too bad, cause Costis is great even if he has no sense of humor. I suppose he wouldn't really have a place in the other books, though.

The main character in this book? Sophos. Yes. We've waited since book one for him to return, and he FINALLY has. Sophos is probably my favorite example of how much a single character can grow and change within a story. Half of the book is told in first-person by him, and such a charismatic, completely real voice. It's like he's really talking. And I loved that even with all the changes he went through in this book, and how he could take down a man with one hit, he's still shy, blushing Sophos. :) He's so different by the end, but I still love him.
This book was actually a lot better the second time around. The first time I read it I was disappointed by it, expecting more, but when I read it again a couple weeks ago I loved it a lot more, and it's earning a place among my favorite books. :)

I wish I knew Megan Turner's secret for creating characters the way she does.

Merlin

Of all the characters in this show, my favorite is the title character, Merlin. You may think he's dorky looking, but he could take you down with less than one blow (or so he says.) He's really friendly, kind, and I would love to have him as a brother or friend. Plus, he's hilarious. :)
Arthur is hilarious as well, and he's handsome, but what bothers me is that he's so ignorant about who Merlin really is (Merlin has to keep his magic a secret, or he'll be killed by King Uther, who hates magic). And when Arthur finally grows up and learns something in an episode, in the next episode, he's back to his old snotty prattish self.
But I do admit that I love him. :) He's a pretty good character.
More annoying than Arthur, though, is Gwen. I liked her in the first season, but in the third season, she's gotten so dry. She just has no personality, and I cannot include in my list of favorite characters. There's no spark, no life to her. She's not right for Arthur.
Morgana is pretty awesome--she's completely different in season three, which I think is cool, cause she's more vital to the show now. The plot with her can get old at times, but she has more of a place now.

Arthur, Guin, Morgana, and Merlin
Elyan, Gwaine, Merlin, Arthur, Lancelot, Leon, and I don't know who the other dude is (this is a poster for the season three finale)

Arthur, Merlin, Morgana, and Morgause

Uther, Arthur, Merlin, Gaius, Morgana, and Guin

So really, Merlin is one of my all-time favorite characters, and Arthur's pretty good, but the others can't make the cut. :( (Gwaine is really cool, but he's not a regular, and not quite cool enough)

I did a post on Merlin a while back, which you can read here.

I think that's enough for now. :) Tell me about some of your favorite characters!

Don't worry, Merlin fans!

{note: I do not own any of these photos or the trailer.}

In a land of myth, and a time of magic, the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young boy. His name...Merlin.

"I have special eyes."
(not going to make sense if you haven't seen the tv ad for 1-800-Contacts.)
Actually, he does. They even turn gold...

left to right: Guinevere, Gaius, Morgana, Merlin, Arthur, and King Uther

S0rry this post is so pointless and does not deal with anything deep...I'm going through a Merlin phase, just like I did with Robin Hood. Why is the BBC so amazing? How do they manage to produce almost all of my favorite shows? Merlin, Robin Hood, Inspector Lewis, Little Dorrit...maybe Merlin, with his magic magical-y-ness, is helping them. That must be it.

"How do you think it's going, ANGEL?!"

"I'm glad to see you're resting, Merlin. That means you'll have the energy to clean out my leech tank." --Gaius

"There's only one man to save the day. Merlin. And his best friend. Arthur. Who helps him a lot. A LOT!"

She and Marian could be sisters...

Uther: Could somebody tell me what happened?
Merlin: Well...
Uther: Someone with a brain.

Do you think I sit around doing nothing? I haven't had a chance to sit around and do nothing since the day I arrived in Camelot! I'm too busy running around after Arthur. Do this, Merlin. Do that, Merlin. And when I'm not running around after Arthur, I'm doing chores for you! And if I'm not doing that, I'm fulfilling my destiny! Do you know, how many times I've saved Arthur's life? I've lost count! Do I get any thanks? No! I have fought griffins, witches erm… bandits! I have been punched, poisoned, pelted with fruit and all the while, I have to hide who I really am because if anyone finds out, Uther will have me executed! Sometimes I feel like I'm being pulled in so many directions, I don't know which way to turn! --Merlin, season 2 episode 2: The Once and Future Queen

Season 2 trailer--(utterly amazing)

It's available on Netflix.com if you have an account, or fancast.com, or youtube. WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(by the way, a big thank you to all my lovely followers, who put up so patiently with my British tv show obessions.)

HELLO WORLD!

'Ello, friends! I'm back. And because I'm suffering from lack of inspiration, I'm just gonna go random. Random is good, right?;)

First 0ff, I stole Eldarwen's tag.

1. What was the most embarrassing thing you've ever done in public?

Um, I don't know...?

2. Would you rather have a hot dog, or hamburger?

Hamburger. I no longer trust hotdogs. Because I do not know what is in them.

3. Do you like to sing?

Um, with a group, yes. On my own? No way. I have a horrible voice. I'll only sing if there is NOBODY else in the house.

4. What is currently your favorite song?

Aw geez! That's tough. I'll probably have to go with "Our Song" by Taylor Swift.

5. Have you ever eaten sea weed?

YES!!!! And I didn't like it:(

6. Do you play any sports? If so, what sports do you play?

You know I do! I play volleyball and am in love with the entire game. I can't wait till the start of the fall season. I hope to make the gold league (the highest level before college volleyball) next spring:).

7. Can you whistle?

You know I can.

8. What would you say is your best talent?

Probably...writing. I'm still extremely amateur at photography. Oh, and drawing. I just finished my Robin Hood poster, did you hear? I've got Robin in the middle and Marian next to him and Will above her and Much next to him and Allan below him and Djaq below him. It's soooo cool!!!!

9. Rain or shine?

Shine. Rain depresses me. (most of the time)

10. Inside or outside?

Outside, except when it's stinking hot or freezing cold.

I award anyone who hasn't done this:). Oh wait, I need to make up questions! Here I go:

1. What is your favorite quote from a book?

2. If you could live in any book, which wo
uld it be?

3. What are your favorite song lyrics?

4. Winter or summer?

5. Think fast: Paris or Rome?

6. Chocolate or lollipop?

7. Country or pop?

8. Think fast: Artemis Fowl or Percy Jackson?

9. Model or photographe
r?

10. Amusement park or water park?

Just cause I'm so awesome, I'm gonna answer them myself:).

1. Ani watched the fire turn the hearthstones gold. "Maybe I did. Maybe I hoped I'd return home someday and people would say, we were wrong about her. And they'd realize I'm special and beautiful and powerful and all that." --The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (that's only one of many)

2. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. Camp Half-blood sounds sooooo amazing!!!! Archery practice, rock walls with lava beneath, the fencing arena, and they have a VOLLEYBALL net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. I tried to be perfect But nothing was worth it I don’t believe it makes me real I thought it’d be easy But no one believes me I meant all the things I said
--Pieces by Sum 41 (one of my favoriteist songs ever)
(again, only one of many)

4. SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. Don't make think like that!!! Who made up these stupid questions? Oh, right...I did. BOTH.

6. Chocolate. I don't like lollipops. (kudos to whoever gets that quote first. Golden Eagle...)

7. Pop. Country can drive me crazy, most of the time.

8. OOOOHHHH!!!!!!!! Why did I do this to myself????!!!!! Well...I'm gonna have to go with Percy Jackson. Sorry, Artemis. You know I love you too.

9. I like to be both!

10. Water park!!! I can go on almost anything there, but not so at amusement parks.

There you are!

Second order of business.

Merlin and Arthur

This ^ ^ could very well become one of my new favorite tv shows. (though not over Robin Hood...never.) It's called Merlin and it's also put out by the BBC. Isn't that amazing? I love BBC. They're epic. I blame Molly and Maxine. See, I got them started on RH, and they get me started on Merlin. I love the main character:). And Arthur, even though he's a jerk.

Third order of business.

Shaynie awarded me! Thank you Shaynie!

The rules:
I have to tell you where I see myself in 10 years and award a few people
.

Wow. Ten years from now. I hope to have at least two books published and be a New York Times Best-selling author. Lofty, huh? I'm gonna go for it. Perhaps I'll be married. But I don't want to get married too young, and I don't want to think about children yet;). (i love kids, though, just so there's no confusion.) Part of me wants to have traveled the world, but the other of me is a big home-body.

I award:

Melody
Olive Tree
Memzie
Katelyn
________________________________________________________________

Besides our wonderful United States (or the country you live in), what other countries do you like? Not just the countries you want to visit, but places that interest, intrigue, and inspire you. (i like that combination of words...) Mine are:

Russia. About a year ago I went through a huge Russian phase and had to read all things Romanav-era (1917). This time period and family fascinated me.

Spain. Spain also happens to be a big influence on my book, Cymbeline. The passion, the vibrancy, the color, the pirates, and especially in the 1700's. Adventure is calling.

Turkey. This stems, again, from Robin Hood. One of my favorite characters, Djaq, is a Saracen (from Turkey). After some time, I mastered her awesome accent (it's fun to do) and just the whole culture of this country fascinates me. The desert, the clothing, the styles, the "look"...

Portugal. This is similiar to Spain--I first became interested when I started writing Cymbeline. Plus, it's not a place you hear a lot about.

How about you?

I love this avatar.

Yeah, it was random, but that's me. Randomness!

Is that the smaller version of Teleus, with no sense of humor?

I saw this tag on Melody's blog and thought it just looked like too much fun, so I'm doing it;)

Name 12 characters and then answer the questions. (Honestly, right now I don't feel like limiting it to book characters. So I'm not.)

1. Finn (The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale)
2. Marian (BBC Robin Hood--she deserves this at the very least)
3. Costis (The King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner)
4. Saphira (from Cymbeline by...me. So sue me.)
5. Percy (Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan)
6. Holly (Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer)
7. Edmund (The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis)
8. Djaq (BBC Robin Hood)
9. Sophos (The Queen's Thief Series by Megan Whalen Turner)
10. Barbara (The Sherwood Ring by Elizabeth Marie Pope)
11. Uncle Jake (The Sisters Grimm by Michael Buckley)
12. Dasha (The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale)

1. Who would make a better college professor, 6 or 11?
Ooo, definitely Holly, Miss Smarty Pants. Though I'd love to Uncle Jake as my professor--he'd make class interesting!

2. Do you think #2 is nice?
It depends on her mood.

3. 12 sends 8 out on a mission. What is it? Does 8 succeed?
Are you kidding me? Any mission that Djaq goes on, she succeeds on. She is... rescuing Robin and the boys from Nottingham's evil clutches! Of course she is the victor!

4. What is is or would be 9's favorite book?
The Eponymiad. It's a poem, like Beowulf.

5. Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Ooo-ooo! Holly and Marian, two very opinionated ladies! Neither would ever swear fealty to each other.

6. For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should s/he room with 9 or 10?
Most definitely, Percy would have to room with Sophos. I think poor Sophos will probably have a heart attack, though, when he learns that Percy doesn't like to read.

7. 3, 7, and 12 are going out to dinner. Where do they go and what do they discuss?
Costis and Edmund taking Dasha out to dinner? This'll be good. They go to Chili's and Costis and Ed talk about battle manuevers and wars and the fights they've been in. Poor Dasha tries to be her diplomatic self but fails. She soaks each of them with her magical watery powers and heads back to Tira. Razo will understand.

8. 3 challenges 10 to a duel, who wins?
Sorry Barbara, but this one goes to Costis. He is, after all, a palace guard.

9. If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?
Haha! The thought to steal something would never even enter Finn's sweet little brain. But if he did steal something of Djaq's, I don't think she'd care too much. And if she DID care, she'd use her incredible martial arts moves to knock the stuffing out of Finn. Then she'd throw pepper in his face. "PEPPER! OUCH!"

10. Suggest a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they desire.
Ed and Dasha together again? Poor Razo. As for titles, I got nothing. Sorry to be so disappointing.

11. What kind of plot device would you have to use if you wanted 1 and 4 to work together?
Saphira would just go with kidnapping Finn. She does that, and she does it well.

12. If seven visted you for the weekend, how would it go?
I'd probably bite my palm and then faint.

13. If you could command three to perform any task or service for you, what would it be?
What does Costis have that I could possibly need? Well... I'd ask him to spar with me.

14. Does 11 like to write or draw?
I'm pretty sure Jake Grimm doesn't do either. But given the choice, he'd probably draw.

15. If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, what side would (s)he choose?
Oh geez, this is tough! Being both very stubborn girls, Saphira and Marian would probably clash. I don't think Marian would be thrilled at working with Percy. But then again, it depends on which side of Saphira Marian would be working on. She'd pick whoever she thinks is standing up for justice. That would most likely be Percy.

16. What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
Haha, Barbara charging into battle? "DICK, PEACEABLE, YOU IDIOTS!!!!!"

17. If you had to choose a song to best describe 8, what would it be?
Ah geez. This is super tough. So I pick "We Need Each Other" by Sanctus Real.

18. What would be a good pickup line for 2 to say to 10?
"Your horse is beautiful..." cause Marian loves beautiful horses. Actually, she probably wouldn't say this, since Barbara has a less than beautiful horsey.

19. What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Ooo, Percy! What have you done now??? He'd be arrested for disturbing the peace and causing total destruction and attracting monsters that want to kill him. Oh, and for almost cutting a mortal in half. But that was an accident. And she wasn't hurt.

20. If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Sorry Sophos, but you isn't the most athletic dude in the world. Jake would win. He has plenty of practice.

21. What is the lowest point of 1's story?
Well, Finn is a supporting character, so he doesn't have his own story. But whenever he gets rejected by Enna.

22. 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that s/he is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic?
Okay, let's take it from the top. Finn and Sophos are teamed up. A good match--no, really, it is. They're both so sweet. Saphira has a secret sinister organization? HAHAHAHA!!!! How perfect! That is so Saphira! Uncle Jake is working with Finn and Sophos, but he's a traitor??? Bad boy Jakie. Saphira has kidnapped Dasha. Awesome. I love it. Percy is a sage now, huh? Oh, don't go running to Costis. He's not the best under pressure, poor thing. This is Bayern meets Attolia meets Spain meets Ferryport Landing meets Olympus. Ah, but what about poor Marian and Holly and Djaq and Edmund and Barbara? Where do they fit in? Cause then it would be Bayern meets Sounis meets Spain meets Ferryport Landing meets Tira meets Olympus meets Attolia meets Sherwood meets Haven City meets Turkey meets Narnia meets New York. Sweet. I love it.

Don't you just love 'em?

Molly and I finished season 1 of the BBC Robin Hood last night!!!! We watched like 3 or 4 episodes and stayed up until around 1:30, stretched on her bedroom floor watching it on the laptop. In the dark. Oh yes, it was awesome!

Yes, this picture pretty much sums up season 1!

And the winner is...

For my poll on "Who is your favorite Robin Hood character?" the winner is...

Robin himself with 6 votes! Who would have guessed?

Will Scarlett came in 2nd with 4 votes, but in the end, he couldn't hold a candle to Robin.

One person voted for the sheriff of Nottingham...

I myself voted for Djaq...

Much also got one vote...

As did Little John...

And Guy of Gisborne...

It saddens me that no one voted for Allan a Dale...

And Marian was in the same boat.

There you have it! The wonderful cast of the BBC's Robin Hood.

On to the second part of this post!!!! Ok so lately I have like just been OBSESSED with this book/tv show called Christy. It's by Christian author Catherine Marshall, and it's about 19 year old Christy Huddleston who goes to teach school in a backwoods mission in Tennessee. I was reluctant to read the book, I mean, it has a really dated 70's cover. But I had to read it for school, so there was no way to get around it. And then... BOOM!!! I am hooked! About 15 years ago they made a tv series that is just as awesome, if not more awesome than the book!! Here are some pics to get you interested:)

Left to right: Fairlight Spencer, mother of some of the children in Christy's school and one of Christy's best friends; Christy Huddleston, heroine; David Grantland, the mission's preacher (who's also pretty cute); Miss Alice Henderson, who sort of runs the mission; Dr. Neill Macneill (no joke); and Ruby Mae Morrison, who lives at the mission and is one of Christy's students.
Just looking at the pic makes me want to watch it!!!

The Great Smoky Mountains where the mission is located.

So, what the heck are you sitting here reading this for???!!!! GO OUT AND READ/WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
