Like to write? Want to do NanoWrimo this year but can't wait for November? Presenting--30,000 Words in 30 Days! A blog/writing event hosted by me, Caroline, from June 1 to 30. The goal? Do just what the title says--write 30,000 words in one month. The prize? Well, I haven't actually got any physical object to give you, but you will get a button that says, "Winner!" and the good feeling that you completed this challenge!
Here are the entry requirements:
1. You must follow me.
2. Spread the word! Even friends who don't have blogs can join. Just give their names and I'll put them on my list.
3. This isn't required, but you can put the banner up on your blog!!
And here are the official contest rules:
1. You can choose any story you like to work on--one completely new or one in the making.
2. You can go back and edit your story during the contest time, but the words you write in editing will not count towards your final goal of 30,000 words.
3. You MUST enter on this post only.
4. This is not a requirement, but if you post about how you're doing and how many words you're at, then that would be awesome!
Believe me, this will be no fun if there's only like three of us participating (and yes, I'm in on it too. Duh.)
So whaddya say? Can we write 30,000 words each in 30 days?

Thanks, Ciara!! No, you don't have to write the story on your blog--it can be in a word processor. Which would probably be easier since word processors have tools for counting the number of words:)
Just don't put too much of your writing on the internet--publishers won't want to buy it if people can already find it for free online:D

Ooh, that's a neat idea, Hannah! We should definitely do that! Then we can possibly share tidbits of our stories with each other (if we make the blog private) and encourage each other through the month. :)
